MacBook Air Liquid-Damage Symptoms
Tell us what was spilled, when it happened and how the Mac behaved afterwards. No power, switching on then off, unstable operation or keyboard problems may be relevant to the assessment. Liquid can affect more than one component, so the reported symptom does not establish the full repair scope.
Include previous repair history and any later changes in behaviour. Damage that is not visible from the outside may be found during dismantling. We do not promise that cleaning alone will restore normal operation.
Inspection & Diagnosis After a Spill
Our engineers dismantle the MacBook Air as required to inspect the affected areas and assess the reported fault. The inspection considers liquid residue, corrosion and damage relevant to the computer condition.
The aim is to establish what work is feasible and what repairs or replacement parts may be needed. Some functions cannot be fully assessed until the Air powers on. Findings from an initial inspection may therefore need further checking after an agreed repair.
Motherboard Cleaning Before Repair

Cleaning does not replace damaged components or guarantee that corrosion has caused no lasting damage. Burnt components, damaged tracks or other faults may require separately quoted repair work. This is liquid-damage cleaning within the inspection scope, rather than a general maintenance package.
Repair Quotation & Additional Parts
After assessment, we explain the findings and provide a quote for the necessary repair work and replacement parts. Component-level motherboard repairs may be feasible, but a repair cannot be guaranteed for every liquid-damaged Air.
Keyboard, screen, battery, trackpad and other component repairs are not included in the inspection price. A keyboard fault may only become apparent once the Mac powers on. Additional chargeable work requires your agreement before it is carried out.

The standard inspection and cleaning fee is £29.99 before postage. Existing eligible account discounts are applied by the website.
The inspection payment covers the time spent dismantling, cleaning and diagnosing the liquid damage. It is non-refundable if the Mac cannot be repaired or if you do not proceed with the separate repair quote. This inspection is not a successful-repair guarantee.
Any quoted repair has its own agreed scope and applicable terms. A separately chargeable motherboard repair is not included in this inspection fee. Postage and replacement parts are also separate.
Data & Limits of the Assessment
Tell us before work begins if recovering important files is your priority. Liquid-damaged hardware may prevent access to storage or a working operating system. Data preservation and recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Specialist data recovery, destination storage and operating-system installation are not included in this inspection. We explain any additional chargeable work before proceeding. Restoring power does not prove that every component is unaffected or that a later unrelated fault cannot develop.
