Xbox 360 Slim Full Service / Thermal Paste Replacement

Give your Xbox 360 Slim a full clean and thermal paste replacement. Our servicing package is available in Bolton and through our UK mail-in service.

Maintenance for an Ageing Console

Dust and ageing thermal compound can affect cooling, but maintenance is not a diagnosis of every shutdown or warning light. Tell us about existing faults before booking. A console showing red-light errors, refusing to power on or failing to read discs may need a separate repair rather than this routine servicing package.

What Servicing Does Not Include

The package covers the advertised cleaning, thermal compound renewal and testing of the serviced console. It does not include automatic replacement of the fan, external power supply, laser or motherboard components. If assessment identifies a separate fault, we explain the findings and the proposed additional repair before proceeding. Routine servicing cannot guarantee that unrelated ageing hardware will remain fault-free.

Xbox 360 Slim Full Service / Thermal Paste Replacement

Common symptoms or reasons to book this service include:

• Dust buildup around the fan and cooling system
• Ageing thermal compound on the CPU and GPU
• Console due for routine cleaning and maintenance

How we assess and carry out the work

We strip and clean the console and fan assembly, remove the old thermal compound from the CPU and GPU, and apply high-grade replacement compound. We clean the casing and carry out operation testing. This is a maintenance service. An existing RROD, no-power or other component fault may require a separate diagnosis and repair; cleaning and new thermal paste cannot guarantee recovery of failed hardware.

What does the £29.99 service include?

• Console and fan cleaning
• CPU and GPU thermal paste replacement
• Casing clean and operation testing

Price and diagnostic fee

The advertised service price is £29.99. This is a maintenance package. Any separate fault diagnosis or repair is discussed before proceeding. Where diagnosis is required, the £20 diagnostic fee is deducted if repair proceeds and retained if the repair is unsuccessful, cannot be completed or is declined. Postage is separate.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the full service?

The console and fan are cleaned, old CPU and GPU thermal compound is removed and replaced, the casing is cleaned, and the console receives operation testing.

Will new thermal paste cure RROD?

Not necessarily. RROD can indicate a hardware fault that needs diagnosis. Servicing is maintenance and does not automatically include a motherboard repair.

Can you service a console that already overheats?

Tell us about shutdowns or warning lights before booking. We may need to diagnose the fault and recommend the appropriate overheating repair instead.

Is the console tested after servicing?

The serviced console is tested, alongside checks of the work carried out.

How much does this Xbox 360 Slim service cost?

The advertised price is £29.99. See the price and diagnostic-fee section for the conditions. Postage is separate.

Can I drop off locally or send my console by post?

Yes. Drop off at our Bolton workshop without an appointment during opening hours, or arrange UK-wide mail-in.

What warranty applies?

The standard three-month repair warranty covers the repaired original fault from the repair date. Routine maintenance does not cover unrelated future hardware failures.
