Is your Steam Deck running hot, becoming unusually noisy or in need of a thorough internal clean? Console Wizard provides a professional Steam Deck Full Service for both LCD and OLED models for £49.99.

Our service includes professional dismantling, internal and external cleaning, cleaning of the cooling fan, heatsink and ventilation system, removal of the existing thermal paste and application of fresh high-performance thermal paste.

Once serviced, the Steam Deck is professionally reassembled and tested to check its main functions before being returned to you.

Steam Deck Full Service – £49.99

Our £49.99 Steam Deck Full Service is designed for both LCD and OLED Steam Deck models and provides a comprehensive internal cooling-system clean and thermal service.

Dust, fibres and debris can gradually accumulate around the ventilation system, fan and heatsink. Cleaning these areas helps ensure that the cooling system is not being unnecessarily restricted by contamination.

    • Steam Deck professionally dismantled
    • Internal dust and debris professionally cleaned
    • External console cleaned
    • Cooling fan professionally cleaned
    • Heatsink professionally cleaned
    • Air vents and cooling pathways cleaned
    • Existing thermal paste professionally removed
    • Fresh high-performance thermal paste applied
    • Console professionally reassembled
    • Main console functions professionally tested
    • 3-month service warranty

Steam Deck LCD & OLED Full Service

This service is available for both the original Steam Deck LCD range and Steam Deck OLED models.

Although there are hardware differences between the LCD and OLED versions, both use active cooling systems that require clear airflow through the console.

When booking the service, select the appropriate Steam Deck version so that we know which model will be arriving at our repair centre.

    Steam Deck Internal Deep Cleaning

A handheld gaming system can gradually draw dust, fibres and other debris through its ventilation system during normal use.

Over time, contamination can collect around the internal cooling system and restrict airflow through the areas responsible for transferring heat away from the processor.

Our Steam Deck cleaning service involves professionally opening the console rather than simply cleaning the exterior ventilation openings.

The internal areas are carefully cleaned so that accumulated contamination can be removed from the cooling system.

    Steam Deck Fan Cleaning

The internal fan moves air through the Steam Deck cooling system and across the heatsink.

Dust and debris around the fan can reduce the cleanliness of the cooling pathway and should be removed as part of a thorough internal service.

During the Full Service, the fan and surrounding area are professionally cleaned before the console is reassembled.

If testing establishes that the fan itself has a mechanical or electrical fault rather than simply requiring cleaning, we will contact you before carrying out any additional chargeable repair.

Steam Deck Heatsink & Vent Cleaning

The heatsink and ventilation system allow heat generated by the Steam Deck processor to be transferred away from the internal electronics.

Accumulated dust or debris can restrict airflow through these areas and make the cooling system work harder to maintain operating temperatures.

Our Full Service includes cleaning the heatsink, ventilation openings and relevant cooling pathways to remove accumulated contamination.

    Steam Deck Thermal Paste Replacement

Thermal paste provides the thermal interface between the processor and cooling assembly, allowing heat to transfer efficiently into the heatsink.

As part of the £49.99 Full Service, the existing thermal paste is professionally removed and replaced with fresh high-performance thermal paste.

The cooling assembly is then correctly refitted before the Steam Deck is reassembled and tested.

    • Existing thermal paste removed
    • Contact surfaces professionally prepared
    • Fresh high-performance thermal paste applied
    • Cooling assembly professionally refitted

    Steam Deck Overheating

If your Steam Deck becomes unusually hot or the cooling fan regularly operates at high speed, restricted airflow or contamination within the cooling system may be contributing to the problem.

The Full Service cleans the internal cooling system and renews the thermal paste so that dust contamination and the existing thermal interface material are not unnecessarily affecting cooling performance.

However, overheating symptoms do not automatically mean that the console only requires cleaning.

A defective fan, motherboard problem or another hardware fault can sometimes cause thermal or performance-related symptoms. If we identify an additional hardware fault during testing, we will contact you and explain what has been found.

    Steam Deck Fan Getting Loud

A Steam Deck fan can become more noticeable when the console is under heavy load because additional cooling is required.

A fan becoming louder therefore does not automatically mean that the fan itself is defective.

If airflow through the cooling system is restricted by accumulated contamination, the fan may need to operate harder to remove heat from the console.

Our Full Service cleans the fan, heatsink and ventilation system and renews the thermal paste.

If the fan instead produces mechanical grinding, rattling or scraping noises, or fails to spin correctly, it may have a separate mechanical fault requiring replacement rather than servicing alone.

Steam Deck Performance Problems When Hot

The Steam Deck manages its operating temperature electronically, and excessive temperature can affect how the system operates under sustained load.

If performance problems appear primarily after the console becomes hot, the cooling system is one area that should be assessed.

Cleaning the cooling system and renewing the thermal paste removes two potential thermal-service issues, but we do not assume that every performance problem is caused by overheating.

If another hardware or software problem is identified during testing, we will advise you accordingly.

Steam Deck Full Service for a Working Console

Your Steam Deck does not need to have an existing hardware fault to book this service.

You can select the Full Service for a fully working LCD or OLED Steam Deck when you simply want the console professionally dismantled, internally cleaned and thermally serviced.

The service provides a thorough internal clean that cannot be achieved by cleaning only the exterior vents of the console.

What If We Find Another Steam Deck Fault?

The £49.99 Full Service covers cleaning, thermal servicing, reassembly and testing. It does not include unrelated replacement hardware.

If our engineers identify another defective component during inspection or testing, we will contact you and explain what has been found.

This could include faults affecting components such as:

    • Cooling fan
    • Analogue sticks
    • Buttons or bumper buttons
    • Battery
    • USB-C charging port
    • Motherboard
    • Other internal hardware

Where an additional repair is required, we will provide the applicable repair price before proceeding with additional chargeable work.

Full Service With Another Steam Deck Repair

If your Steam Deck is already being dismantled for another qualifying repair, you can add our Full Service at a discounted price of £20 where the Full Service option is available on that repair.

This allows the internal cleaning and thermal servicing to be completed while the console is already undergoing repair.

    • Standalone Steam Deck Full Service – £49.99
    • Discounted Full Service with qualifying repair – £20

The £20 discounted option is available only alongside repair services where the Full Service add-on is offered.

    Steam Deck Full Service FAQs

How much does a Steam Deck Full Service cost?

Our standalone Steam Deck LCD and OLED Full Service costs £49.99. It includes professional dismantling, internal and external cleaning, fan, heatsink and ventilation cleaning, thermal paste replacement, reassembly and functionality testing.

Do you service both Steam Deck LCD and OLED models?

Yes. Our £49.99 Full Service is available for both Steam Deck LCD and Steam Deck OLED models.

Do you replace the thermal paste?

Yes. The existing thermal paste is professionally removed and fresh high-performance thermal paste is applied as part of the Full Service.

Do you clean the Steam Deck fan?

Yes. The internal cooling fan and surrounding area are professionally cleaned as part of the service.

Do you clean the Steam Deck heatsink?

Yes. The heatsink and relevant ventilation areas are cleaned to remove accumulated dust and debris from the cooling system.

Will a Full Service fix an overheating Steam Deck?

The service addresses cooling issues associated with contamination and thermal servicing by cleaning the cooling system and renewing the thermal paste. However, overheating can also be caused by a defective fan or another hardware fault, so a successful outcome depends on the actual cause of the problem.

Will the Full Service fix a noisy Steam Deck fan?

It can help where cooling contamination is causing the fan to work harder, but a fan with faulty bearings, mechanical damage, grinding or rattling may require replacement. We will advise you if a separate fan fault is identified.

Can I book the service if my Steam Deck is working normally?

Yes. The Full Service can be booked for a fully working Steam Deck when you want the console professionally dismantled, internally cleaned and thermally serviced.

What happens if you find a faulty component?

If testing identifies an additional hardware fault that is not included within the Full Service, we will contact you, explain what has been found and provide the applicable repair price before carrying out additional chargeable work.

Is the discounted Full Service £20 with another repair?

Yes. Where a qualifying Steam Deck repair offers the Full Service add-on, the service can be added for £20 while the console is already undergoing repair. The standalone Full Service remains £49.99.

Does the Steam Deck Full Service include a warranty?

Yes. The service includes a 3-month warranty covering the servicing work carried out. Unrelated hardware faults or subsequent accidental or liquid damage are not covered.

Can I bring my Steam Deck to you in Bolton?
