    Repairing a bricked Switch after version 5.x update

    If you have been using your Nintendo Switch with a third party docking station or charger, carried out the 5.x firmware update and then find that your console will no longer power on to the dashboard, this will be due to a faulty or blown M92T36 Chip, on the motherboard.

    Nintendo are aware of the fact that the version 5.x firmware causes this issue, but have only recommended that Official products should be used to avoid this issue.

    The M92T36 Chip is responsible for the power management on the motherboard, this also interfaces to the docking station, so if this Chip is faulty, then it can cause Charging issues, No HDMI picture when inserted in the docking station and brick your device, stopping the console from powering on to the dasboard.
